COMMENTS This gem is part of the Chrysalis range - “Reminiscent of the undulating forms and jutting landscapes that exist in the peaks and valleys of the Border Ranges of NSW. A juxtaposition between rough textured mountains and smooth mirror-like bodies of water that reflects the gentle rhythm of the landscape as one travels through it”. Each gem has been cut to highlight the unique characteristics of the crystal. They often contain beautiful needles of rutile called ‘silk’, natural ‘fingerprints’ and blue/green colour zoning that proves their natural origin. This gem has a hexagonal shape that reflects the internal symmetry of the crystal.

DURABILITY Sapphire’s high hardness – 9 on Mohs scale – and its excellent durability render it ideal for most types of jewellery settings.
